Respite Schedule

Respite is always the 1st and 2nd Saturday of the month. If you have already filled out your child's medical form and application you may attend either/both respite days. If you volunteer you may volunteer for either/both respite days.

All respite days are held from 10am-3pm. Please check this website for locations. You must RSVP 5 business days before respite.

We often have special events at respite - please respect our guests by arriving on time.

Thank you, Highland School students, for your friendship! Every 2nd Saturday of the month we will benefit from their student philanthropy project - music.

Respite is the most visible of Mary's Family activities, however, our office is open every day and helps families throughout the month. How? IEP meetings when you need an advocate. Hospital visits when you need a break. Someone to help with your child at doctor visits, so you can pay attention to what the doctor says. Encouraging you to advocate for your child.

Mary's Family is also actively involved with state-wide activities and is representing you in Richmond. Have a problem? Call the office and let's see what can be done.

Martha serves on the Virginia Board for People with Disabilities, and attends their meetings quarterly. Thank you, Governor Kaine, for appointing Martha to this state-agency.
