It’s official…our nonprofit is now incorporated in the United States Virgin Islands! Let the respite days begin….
Rest in Peace, Nick Arundel. Without the Fauquier Times- Democrat our nonprofit would have folded in a year. Mary’s Family owes Mr. Arundel a debt of gratitude. Thank you, Mr Arundel.

White House Visit
Tomorrow Jeffrey and I will go to the South Lawn of the White House to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Americans for Disabilities Act. So proud to be included in this terrific event hosted by President Obama.
If medical neuro residents can’t handle pissed off moms and dads how are they going to handle really tough stuff like dying little girls with Retts or teenage boys with non verbal autism who are having seizures? Jeffrey should be a snap! Med schools need to teach having thick skin, open hearts and minds and disability etiquette. Jeffrey going home and Jeff and I only lost temper with 2...

Children's Hospital
Sometimes you learn important news a little late…our dear mentor and friend Mary Donnelly, former patient advocate at Children’s, died unexpectedly this past spring. She inspired us, helped us and we used to joke that we named Mary’s Family after her….a wonderful friend RIP
